Frequently asked questions

Can I install the same eSIM on multiple devices?

No. Each eSIM is a single-use digital profile that can only be installed on one smartphone. It cannot be scanned onto an iPhone and then transferred to an iPad or another phone later. If you need data on two different devices, you will need to purchase a separate eSIM plan for each one.

What should I do if I delete the eSIM by mistake?

Once an eSIM profile is scanned and downloaded to a phone, the unique QR code is securely tied to that device and generally cannot be scanned a second time or transferred. Please do not remove or delete the eSIM from your cellular settings if you experience connection issues. If you accidentally delete it, please contact our support team immediately with your order details so we can assist you.

Do I get a local phone number with this eSIM to make traditional calls?

Our eSIMs are data-only profiles designed specifically to help you avoid expensive roaming internet fees. They do not come with a traditional local phone number for standard network voice calls or classic SMS texting. However, you can make unlimited high-quality voice and video calls using internet-based apps like WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram, or FaceTime.

Can I share my eSIM internet through Hotspot?

Yes! All of our eSIM data plans fully support personal hotspot. You can easily share your high-speed internet connection with your laptop, tablet, or other family members' devices just like you would at home.

Do I need to turn off my regular physical SIM card?

No, you do not need to remove or turn off your primary SIM card. Your smartphone can keep both lines active simultaneously (Dual SIM mode). This allows you to keep your main number active for receiving important SMS texts (like bank authorization codes) and calls, while using the new eSIM exclusively for mobile data.
Tip: Ensure you disable the "Data Switching" option in your phone's settings so your device doesn't accidentally usage-charge your primary SIM if the eSIM signal dips.

When should I install my eSIM?

The data plan can be activated 180 days after the purchase. We recommend installing your eSIM the day before you travel or right before you leave while you still have a stable home Wi-Fi connection. After activation, the plan is valid for the length of the plan.

Do I need an internet connection to install the eSIM?

Yes, you need a stable Wi-Fi or cellular data connection to download and activate the eSIM profile on your device. Do not try to install it while you are in flight or without a network connection.

Will apps like Viber or WhatsApp change my number when using the eSIM?

Not at all. Your Viber, WhatsApp, and iMessage accounts are tied to your primary phone number and will continue to work normally without any changes or re-registration. They will simply utilize the internet data provided by the travel eSIM to send messages and make calls.

How do I know if my phone is compatible?

Generally, most unlocked smartphones manufactured from 2019 onward (including iPhone XR/11 or newer, Samsung Galaxy S20 or newer, and Google Pixel 3 or newer) support eSIM. You can view our Full eSIM Compatibility List to check your exact model.

What should I do if my data isn't working when I arrive?

First, double-check that your new eSIM line is turned on in your cellular settings and that Data Roaming is enabled for it. If it still doesn't connect, simply toggle your phone's Airplane Mode on and off to force a fresh network search.
